Overview
I joined a development team supporting enterprise-style internal systems used in daily operations. Working on software that people already depended on shaped how I worked: smaller steps, more questions, more testing.
Contributions
- Worked across the stack. Features and fixes that ran from the UI through REST endpoints to the MySQL layer.
- Handled real data with care. Writing queries, extending schemas, and validating inputs against data that was messier than anything in coursework.
- Learned the team's workflow. Version control, code review, and testing before anything reached users — and treating review feedback as the fastest way to improve.
Takeaways
Reading a codebase I didn't write, knowing when to ask instead of guess, and the discipline it takes to change software people are actively using.
